OPPORTUNITY: To build a natural spring water bottling plant in Costa Rica that will deliver high quality spring water that will deliver sales of over 5 million litres of water by the second year of operation with an estimated revenue of $15 million and a gross margin of 60%.
PRODUCT: A luxury water brand designed to compete in quality and prestige with brands like VOSS. The property which will supply the spring water is located in the Guanacaste region which is recognized as one of only 5 “blue zones” in the entire world. Blue zones are unique geographic locations where human beings live measurably longer and healthier lives.
This Blue Zone water flows through the mountains into a natural aquifer and has a wonderful taste that has been compared to Evian Water. This hard water has proven health benefits is 100% NATURAL AND NEEDS NO FILTRATION; nothing has been added to change its unique characteristics and mineral content. This water has almost twice the total alkalinity and 3.5 times the calcium of Fiji Water. It is also rich in Calcium and magnesium which are essential for bone and muscle strength and improve body function. Alkaline water neutralizes cell damaging free radicals within the body to slow the aging process and prevent disease.
The authenticity of the product will be certified by NSF International.
BRANDING: The brand name, El Bosco, means “The Forest”. The brand concept is built on the idea of the purity and natural resources of Costa Rica. Packaging will be in an upscale glass bottle .
FINANCIAL PROJECTIONS: In the first year of operation, we intend to sell 2.2 million liters of water and by the second year, sell over 5 million liters. When accomplished, we project over $15 million sales revenue by 2019 with a 60 percent gross profit margin.
FUNDING REQUIREMENTS: We will require a total of $2.2 million in funding. Investors will receive a return of investment of 75% annual for 5 years.
