Seahorse Management Company Limited (SMCL) recently identified an investment opportunity in an Emerald Mine in the Copperbelt province of Zambia. According to the Geological report, the value of the probable reserves on the land are estimated to be at least $164million. SMCL by investing into the project will retain 70% of the shareholding while this licence holder 30%.

The said Mine is in proximity to Kagem Mine and lies on the same belt. Kagem Mining Limited (Emerald) is the world’s single-largest producing emerald mine. It is 75% owned by Gemfields and 25% owned by the Government of the Republic of Zambia

All the documentation pertaining to the operations of the mine i.e. Gemstone Licence,
Geological report, site mapping is already in place thus, sourcing for funding to invest in the project.
